What data we process

When you use the form, we store the uploaded file (GPS track or picture), the name of the route, your name, your email address and your message. A GPS track contains locations and often timestamps. If it starts at your home, your address can be worked out from it. We use this data only to send you a preview, draw the sheet and deliver it to you.

If you write to us through the contact form, we store the subject, message, your name and your email address in order to reply.

Where the data is kept

The website and the uploaded files are stored with Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages and R2). Cloudflare may also process data outside Switzerland. To make the plot file, the files are downloaded to our own computer. We do not pass your GPS track on to third parties. For the contour lines we only request the map area from swisstopo or the Tilezen Terrain Tiles, without your track or any details about you.

How long

We delete the file and details no later than twelve months after your request is completed, unless the law requires longer storage (for example for invoices).

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising services. To see how many people visit the site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. The service sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and does not recognise you again. We only see totals: pages viewed, country of origin, referring website, and device and browser.

So that the site looks the same on your next visit, your browser remembers the edition and language you chose (in local storage, not as a cookie). This stays on your device.

You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Write to the email address above.
